Christmas Recap

I think we made the very most of our time leading up to Christmas. Once school got out, we got busy making these shower bombs to give as gifts, and these amazing chocolate chip cookies, and this fudge. Everything turned out well, but if you're going to try just one of those recipes then make those chocolate chip cookies! They are the best I've ever made.

We sent Koa to the kitty kennel (he has forgiven me!), and spent three nights at my parents' house. Christmas Eve was pretty low-key, but Christmas Day was wonderfully busy.

Here are some glimpses into our Christmas:

Michaela slept in until 7 AM! On Christmas Eve she received a new pair of jammies and a Christmas book. I love her Christmas jammies.

It was pretty much a Disney Princess kind of Christmas. Here she is with her latest "Magic Clip Dolls".

My mom and dad always have the prettiest Christmas tree.

I got a new pair of jammies, too.

Presents, presents, and more presents! This is the age where it's easy to give a lot because little kid stuff is mostly inexpensive. I did less last year, but was able to purchase a lot on a small(ish) budget this year.

Are we done now? Can I have a shower and put on some clothes?

Wait, Mommy! There's one more gift. A Disney Princess bike to have and ride at Grammy and Papa's house. Yea!!!

After Auntie and Uncle Mitch arrived, we opened a few more gifts and had a delicious breakfast.

Then it was time to get on that new bike!

We finished the day off by having dinner and another gift exchange at Grandma and Grandpa's house. So much love and so much to be thankful for.

  1. Michaela's face is priceless is in these photos. She is absolutely enchanted by the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child.
